Beginning January 1, 2011 the 2010 California Green Building Standards Code (CALGreen) becomes effective throughout California. The County of Sonoma has adopted and amended CALGreen to require CALGreen+Tier 1 level of compliance. CALGreen+Tier 1 applies to all newly constructed buildings but does not apply to additions, alterations or repairs. Please use the customized checklists found below to document compliance with new building projects.

Although every effort is made to provide complete and accurate information on this website, users are advised to contact appropriate PRMD staff before making project decisions. This may involve contacting more than one section within PRMD (e.g. Building, Plan Check, Zoning, Well & Septic, etc.), since each section implements specific codes or ordinances which may affect your project.
